The Faculty of Traditional Thai Medicine, Prince of Songkla University (PSU), warmly welcomed a delegation from the Faculty of Health Sciences, Universitas Nasional, Jakarta, Indonesia, during their academic visit from 15 to 17 June 2026.
The visit was organized under the Workshop Training Program on “Thai Traditional Midwifery”, aiming to promote academic exchange, strengthen international collaboration, and enhance knowledge and practical skills in Thai Traditional Midwifery among participants from both institutions.
Throughout the program, participants attended a series of lectures, workshops, and hands-on training sessions delivered by experts from the Faculty of Traditional Thai Medicine.
The training covered various topics, including:
- Fundamentals of Traditional Thai Midwifery
- Thai Massage in Thai Midwifery
- Postpartum Care in Thai Traditional Medicine
- Breast Massage and Herbal Compress for Postpartum Mothers
also engaged in practical workshops conducted by faculty members and expert practitioners, providing opportunities to gain first-hand experience in applying traditional Thai medicine techniques.
On the final day, the delegation visited the Traditional Thai Medicine Hospital and participated in interactive learning stations featuring:
- Herbal Steam Therapy
- Thai Herbal Body Scrub
- Thai Traditional Massage
- Salt Pot Compress Therapy
This international academic activity reflects the Faculty's ongoing commitment to promoting excellence in education, preserving Thai traditional wisdom, and expanding global partnerships through interdisciplinary collaboration.
